CALI-FORN-I-A!!!!! :D

So this trip to California was pretty eventful and I loved every minute of it!!! We all had a blast and hope to take more trips together like this one. :) Our vacation started once we got off work on Friday. That very night Jamie (Jordan's little sister) introduced us to this huge trampoline place in Kaysville at the fun center. It has a bunch of rectangular trampolines all attached to each other and all on the sides.... so basically its a trampoline room. We were flipping all over the p
lace. I got to do back flips of the walls and front handsprings from tramp to tramp and we all just kept running back and forth across the
way and it was SO fun, but also VERY tiring. We were all so worn out after just 20 minutes in this jump house. lol. It was fun, but it takes a lot out of you. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures because I left my purse, which also had the camera, at home.
The next day was a very long drive to California and again I didn't take any pictures because we were all beat after waking up at 5 am and trying to drive just about 11 hours straight to Cali with very few stops. What a nightmare!!!!
After we arrived we got to spend time messing around in our hotel room.
Amberly chose to do toe-touches on the beds. lol. It was hilarious to watch! Such a wild child. We all love her SO very much.
Yay!
Random pics during our stay! Lol. Great memories!
Day 1:
Our First real day in Cali was spent in Hollywood at the Highland mall by the "stars." And at the beach cause we all wanted to see it and walk around. These pictures are out of order so I'm sorry for any confusion.
One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life!
Of course there was some street performers in Hollywood and I decided to be nice and give them a dollar for their dancing.
Jordan and I at the beach.
The Harry Potter foot and handprints. AWESOME!
Hollywood sign through a telescope. ha ha.
Awww.... such cute love!
Amberly was a bit scared of the people dressed in costumes on Hollywood Blvd. It was pretty hilarious if you ask me. ;D
Day 2:
In line for our first ride at Knotts Berry Farm! One of the coolest places on earth next to Disneyland. The rides are better than lagoons, the lines are much shorter then Disney's or Six Flags and the food doesn't cost nearly as much! This ride is called the "Silver bullet" and its a hanging one that is super fast and takes about 6 and a half corkscrews. :D Talk about one thrill of a ride. We didn't think any other ride would be as fun after this being our first one. lol
This is what it looks like.... some person actually peed in one of the front seats on the ride before ours so they had to take about 15 minutes to clean it up and sanitize it.... Luckily we were seated in the very back. ha ha ha.
Jordan and I being silly. :)
We even got to ride fake horses for one of our rides which turned out to be lots of fun!
I didn't get any pictures but we went on a ride called the "Xcellerator" and it was SUPER fast. It goes to 85 miles an hour in 2.3 seconds! Talk about whip lash for those poor people who forget to keep their heads against the headrest. lol. Can you say Adrenaline rush???
Day 3:
We were on the beach and it was PERFECTION!
The waves were pretty big so we got to do some good body boarding, which for my first time went amazingly well..... except for the part where I got water in my mouth, my eyes, and up my nose! Not cool. ha ha ha. I was having too much fun in the water that I didn't get very many pictures of us so I am disappointed in myself for not taking more. Jordan was in the water the entire time body boarding so I didn't get any pics of him :(
Me and Amby doing some tan time!
Cute Amberly!
Jamie had to hide under the umbrella with a towel over her legs because she had been previously burned not long before the trip. Unlucky for the rest of us, we all got sunburned after covering ourselves in 50 spf sunscreen over 3 times within only 5 hours. I'm however very lucky and mine goes away quick so no worries. Poor Jordan couldn't really sleep with his sunburn.
Last unofficial day 4:
This is our last day in Cali and we are driving home. :( Boooooo.... We were all so tuckered out from the driving. And Jordan was bored so all these pics are ones he took. lol.
Day 5:
These pictures are actually from the Hogle Zoo. Our last day for vacation we decided would be fun spending seeing a bunch of animals. lol. It was actually super fun even though it was blistering hot outside. I took a bunch of other pictures but too many to put on here.
Tigers!!!!! Grrrrr.....
A mama Elephant and a baby Elephant. They even performed for us!
Giraffes! So cute! :)
This was an amazing trip... one that I would very gladly take again and again and again and again... well you get the picture. lol. Hoping there will be another one next year.

Cabin Fun!

So my family almost always goes up to my parents cabin around the Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend for family reunions. Unfortunately, since Jordan and I work retail it makes it very difficult to attend the entire weekend if we happen to get any days off at all. Luckily, Jordan is awesome and persuaded our scheduler to give us Sunday off and to schedule us an opening shift on Saturday and a closing shift on Monday so that we could get a little bit of time in. I loved being able to spend time with my family and enjoy the outdoors. It was cold, but it didn't really rain that much. And Jordan and I got a few rides on the 4 wheelers. It was so fun to spend time with a couple of my nieces. They are SO adorable. Adalyn is such a smart girl and she had fun telling me "stories." She always started a new sentence with "and one day." The girls also loved playing with the puppies. Well... Quincy liked to stare at them, but didn't like it when they got too close or gave her kisses. lol. But Adalyn couldn't get enough of them. The food was also really good up there. My momma made her amazing strawberry-banana crepes for one of our breakfast meals. I can't describe how DELICIOUS they are. I am SO SO SO VERY grateful for my parents for providing all the necessities and always making it fun to be up there with everyone. :) I Love my family VERY much! I don't know what I would do without them. Overall, it was an awesome day off. :)

California!!!!

So I just have to post about how excited Jordan and I are to be going to Cali again in June for our 2nd anniversary. We are taking his little sisters Jamie and Amberly so it's going to be TWICE as fun! I know what you may be thinking. "Why are you taking them with you on your Anniversary?" Well, to be honest, we wouldn't be able to visit Cali again without them because we are splitting the costs... but that's not the only reason why they are coming with us. We always have fun when we are with them because they are always fun to be around and I can't imagine a better vacation then going to the beach, going to Knotts Berry Farm, and shopping in Hollywood with them there.
Believe me, Jordan and I will get our "us" time in so no worries there. We have been wanting to go on a vacation with his sisters for a while now, but we never had the time or money for all of us. Well, now we do! I am super excited and I know Jordan is pretty stoked as well. Our original plan for our anniversary this year was to go camping and probably go to Yellowstone. Don't get me wrong, it would have been fun, but Yellowstone would be raining and cold (even in June)... we want (and desperately need) some warmth and sunshine. I, personally, am excited for the beach and soaking up the sun while walking on the sand, and playing in the water.
We, unfortunately, can not all afford to go to Disneyland, but it's usually really busy and crowded there and the food is extremely expensive, not to mention the long waits standing in lines all day. So we decided Knotts Berry Farm was in our budgets. Jordan and I went there last year and surprisingly it was actually REALLY fun! The rides are better than Lagoon's, it's not as crowded with people so the lines are not as long, and the food was only mildly expensive, but well worth it. All in all we had a really good time there so we will take his sisters and see how they like the place.
I have been needing a vacation since we got back from Vegas. lol. And I think this will definitely do the trick. Now if only we could make the stay even longer. ha ha. jk. We look forward to going back for our third trip. Hopefully this will be some kind of tradition, right? lol. Probably not, because once we start having kids we won't be able to go on ANY trips for a while... so we gotta get in all the trips we can before we have a baby.

"TWO is better than ONE"

So now that the word is out about my best friends pregnancy (Jennifer (Kerkman) Kay), I just have to let everyone know that I am SO excited for her and I have been excited even before she got pregnant! Right away I told her that she was gonna have twins (again before she was even pregnant yet) and even her husband Christian said he would love to have twins and thought she would too. Finally, she started having symptoms and she would tell me about them, many of which I had. I kept telling her that she was definitely pregnant... so when she took the test and it was positive I was SO happy I started jumping up and down.... because I know exactly what she has been through to have this little baby. Worry is a constant for the first few months because miscarriage is most common at that time, so even after a few doctor visits a few scary issues appeared. There was (and still is) constant worry about miscarrying. She has now seen the baby on the ultrasound and felt a little more at ease, but the trials and issues continued. When she finally got to see her doctor again, not even he could tell her exactly what was going on. He told her it was a possible hemmorhage, which is what I had when I was pregnant. For those of you who don't know what it is, a hemmorhage is a blood clot and in women who are pregnant it can cause light to heavy bleeding. So she sent me a picture from the ultrasound to see what I thought of it. Hemmorhages, or at least mine, looked like a bunch of light colored matter, so when I received the picture, I knew right away that it was NOT a hemmorhage. To me, it looked just like ANOTHER baby sac... almost exactly like the one next to it. Again, I told her that I was sure she was having twins! She replied with "I will be happy even if it is just one." Today it was confirmed that she is having twins! :D I am SO SO SO SO EXCITED for her because she, out of SO many women I know, truly DESERVES to be a mommy and her husband deserves to be a daddy! They are a wonderful pair of people and I couldn't be more thrilled for them! And now, after all the trials they have been through, they get not only one little baby, but TWO! So not in every case, but specifically in this one, two is better than one! Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways. :D Whether you know her or not, please keep her and her family in your prayers because this is still a high risk pregnancy. She is an amazing person and I am SO very lucky to know her! :)
